After my one-month trip in Spain during February, I’ve been able to ride at a good level only around mid-April. I’ve worked a lot on the technical movement and on general physical preparation.
So my 2016 season started last week-end with the first World Cup in Krakow, Poland. My goal there was to have some good feelings back, in competition this time. Result: 22nd place.
That 22nd place was not what I expected. But far from the numbers or ranks, the goal I had together with my trainer Blaise Brocard was to simply go back after my operation and experience positive feelings. Krakow was for me the very first competition this year with the stress and uncertainties which come with it. I had no competitions since last summer with an injury. I had a great pleasure competing in that World Cup despite the little disappointment for the final result. The level is very high and every point is more and more important and I did some mistakes that costed me a lot. I know my preparation is good and with a few adjustements, I’ll be able to express at my best level pretty soon.
I’m already looking forward to inform you of my next Swiss Cup in Tramelan, on June 19th.
